

When you first run your Thunderbird email you will be asked to set up your new account on your pc
On this screen, click the option for 'Email Account' and the 'Next'
Enter the name by which you want this account to be known. If you have two or more email accounts you will need to add each one individually so, for the moment, choose one. You will need to add others later
Also enter your actual email address in the format
name@yourwebsite.co.uk
or
firstname.lastname@yourwebsite.co.uk
Click 'Next'

Your incoming server is a POP3 with the name of
mail.yourwebsite.co.uk
where 'yourwebsite.co.uk' is replaced with the actual website name
Click 'Next'


Your Incoming User Name will be the User Name that your received from magentasteel.com when your mail system was activated
Click 'Next'

This Account Name is the one that you want the email account to appear as on your own oc. It won't be shown on your outgoing emails
Click 'Next'
You will now be asked to complete the details of your Outgoing User Name and Outgoing Server Name. We don't have different incoming and outgoing servers so these details are the same as you used for the incoming server (see above)

You will then see the Congratulations summary of your new Mail Account on Thunderbird
Click 'Finish' and Thunderbird will attempt to connect and retrieve your emails and will do so every 10 minutes or so whenever you have the program open and are connected to the internet
